OUR SPECIAL BOY/autism

Dylan is a very happy 5 year old who happens to see the world differently then most people , this is called autism. We knew Dylan was different at about 1 to 1 1/2 years old and received a diagnosis of autism in May of 97, although he cannot speak his smile and affection for others speaks for him, Dylan is truly a special child. This is Dylans school picture, he attends Christopher house preschool full time and and receives special training from a private teacher from Bartimaeus. We would like to thank the staff at Christopher house and Bartimaeus for all there help ,support and compassion, Dylan has benefited greatly.
Dylan and Janna
This is Janna and I playing in the leaves in our back yard, playing outside is one of my favourite things to do. Having a little sister can be hard at times and she shows me all kinds of neat ways to get into trouble, she's the best!
noni and dylan
This is Dylan and his respite worker Noni, (with her dog Xena). They spend at least 6 hours each weekend together going for walks at local parks and playing. Recently they even went for an airplane ride. Noni's husband Ludi also enjoys their time together. Their help is defintely a godsend!! Dylan can't wait for Noni to pick him up and would stay outdoors all day long. We thank Noni and Ludi, you both are great!!
